New Delhi: In a sharp political reaction to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s sudden resignation, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has questioned the official narrative, saying the government must come clean on the real reasons behind the move.
Addressing media on Wednesday, Kharge remarked, “The government should answer why he resigned. I can see dal mein kuch kaala hai (something is fishy). His health is fine.” He further added that Dhankhar had consistently supported the BJP and RSS during his tenure, making his abrupt resignation even more puzzling.
Kharge asserted that the nation deserves transparency on whether there were internal differences within the ruling establishment or if Dhankhar was forced to step down. “He used to defend RSS and BJP always. Who and what is behind his resignation should be known to the country,” Kharge said.
