“Faith Connects, BJP Divides”: Akhilesh Yadav Responds to Mosque Meeting Controversy

New Delhi: Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav has responded strongly to the controversy surrounding his recent meeting, allegedly held inside a mosque on Parliament Street, by emphasizing the unifying power of faith and criticizing the BJP’s political approach.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “Faith connects. However, the BJP wants people to stay divided, not united. We have faith in all faiths… BJP’s tool is religion.”

His remarks come amid a flurry of reactions from political circles questioning the venue and intent of the meeting. Yadav dismissed such concerns, asserting that the real issue lies in the ruling party’s attempt to polarize communities using religion.

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister reiterated that his party has always believed in secular values and inclusive politics, and would continue to engage with people of all backgrounds, regardless of faith or location.
