A superintendent rank official of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been booked and arrested on the charges of molesting a 25-year-old woman. As per the information, the woman filed a complaint at Parli in Aurangabad, the incident occurred when she was travelling onboard a train from Hyderabad to Pune.
The accused has been identified as 35-year-old Dinesh Ankush Chavan, a Superintendent-rank official with the NCB and resident of Kopar Khairane in Navi Mumbai. He was travelling on the same train as the woman and was returning after attending a court proceeding in Hyderabad.
The accused was arrested at Parli Railway Police Station of Aurangabad Railway unit and the victim carried on with her journey to Hadapsar as she had given the complaint to the TC in the train. The police also found Chavan’s Identity Card from his possession.
