A felicitation ceremony was organised at Government Degree College (GDC) Kupwara by the 7 J&K Battalion NCC to recognise the achievements, dedication and contributions of NCC cadets.
Brigadier Gurbir Singh, VSM, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Srinagar, was the chief guest at the event. Colonel Ramneek Singh, Commanding Officer of the 7 J&K NCC Battalion, and Dr M. Iqbal Darzi, Vice Principal of GDC Kupwara, were also present.
The ceremony was attended by NCC officers, college faculty members and a large number of cadets. The dignitaries felicitated the cadets for their discipline, active participation and achievements in various NCC activities, camps and events.
Brigadier Gurbir Singh Praises Cadets
Addressing the gathering, Brigadier Gurbir Singh appreciated the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the cadets. He encouraged them to maintain discipline, develop leadership skills and continue making positive contributions to society and the nation.
He also highlighted the role of the NCC in developing young people by promoting discipline, leadership, teamwork, responsibility and patriotism.
Brigadier Singh urged the cadets to make full use of the opportunities offered through the NCC and work towards excellence in both their academic and personal pursuits.
Ceremony Recognises Cadets’ Achievements
The felicitation ceremony provided an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of the cadets and motivate them to continue their NCC journey with greater dedication and confidence.
The event concluded with appreciation for the cadets, NCC officers and college faculty members for their continued efforts towards youth development, leadership building and nation-building.
The ceremony concluded with the rendition of the NCC Song, followed by the National Anthem.
