Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has made a significant contribution of Rs 11 crore to the under-construction Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. This generous donation was announced by State Industries Minister Uday Samant during his visit to the holy city, where he handed over the cheque on behalf of the people of Maharashtra and the Shiv Sena.
Speaking to reporters in Ayodhya, Uday Samant expressed the sentiment behind the contribution, stating, “On behalf of the people of Maharashtra and Shiv Sena, Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has given Rs 11 Crore for the Ram Temple. Today we have come here to hand over the cheque.”
Accompanying Uday Samant were Shinde’s son, MP Shrikant Shinde, and other officials, who officially presented the cheque to the Ram Temple trust. Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, expressed gratitude for the generous donation, acknowledging the significance of Maharashtra’s contribution to this historic endeavor.
In earlier remarks, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his role in realizing the dream of millions of Indians as the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple approaches. He expressed appreciation for the forthcoming event on January 22, emphasizing the significance of this momentous occasion for the nation.
“Lord Ram will take care of everyone. The consecration of the Ram Temple will be done on January 22, marking a historic moment for our nation,” said CM Shinde. “PM Modi should be thanked, who has played a pivotal role in making this dream a reality. He has fulfilled the dream of crores of Indians,” he added.
The contribution from Maharashtra, spearheaded by CM Eknath Shinde, stands as a testament to the unity and support extended by various regions and leaders towards the construction of the Ram Temple, underscoring the significance of this cultural and religious milestone for the country.
