Kupwara: Based on specific information regarding the movement of ANEs Kupwara Police established a special Naka at main Market Town Kupwara.
During search checking, Two persons were found in suspicious condition, on seeing the search party tried to escape from the spot but was chased and apprehended by the search party.
The apprehended persons on preliminary questioning disclosed their identity as;
01. Jahangir Ahmad Hajam S/O Mangta Hajam R/O Khawarpara Tangdhar.
02. Ab Hameed Hajam S/O Mangta Hajam R/O Khawarpara Tangdhar.
On their search, 06 Live grenades were recovered from their possession which they were to provide to militants.
In this context Case FIR No. 160/2021 U/s 3/4 Explosive Substance Act has been registered in Police Station Kupwara.
Further investigation into the matter is under process.
