Mumbai: The Department of Mass Media, Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai in association with Bombay Teacher’s Training College, Mumbai and Jönköping University, Sweden will organise seventh edition of its International Media Summit from Feb 13-15, 2020. The theme for this conference will be Learning, Digitalization and Media (LeaDMe). Around 40 eminent researchers and academicians from across the world will present their research in this interdisciplinary conference.
Learning Digitalization and Media International Conference has been conceptualized as a strategic initiative for a theoretical research-oriented conference meeting (13-14 Feb, 2020) and a cross-sectorial platform (15 Feb, 2020) that brings together various sectors and professionals engaged in the enterprise of education, digitalization and media. Communication, Culture and Diversity (CCD) has played an important role in formation of this academic initiative.
The chief guest for the inauguration ceremony is Mr. Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director, MISB Bocconi and Mr. Sachin Kalbag, Executive Editor, Hindustan Times is the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. The keynote address of the conference will be delivered by Dr. Coomi Vevaina, Education Futurist, Creative Writer & Founder Director, Centre for Connection Education and Management.
Dr. Hemlata Bagla, Principal, KC College, said, “The conference has grown bigger this time as we associate with two other leading academic institutions, Jonkoping University (JU), Sweden and Bombay Teacher’s Training College (BTTC). An amalgamation of cross faculty hailing from media, communication and education schools will cover the comprehensive aspects and give a new definition to learning”.
Elaborating further, Ms. Manjula Srinivas, Head, Department of Mass Media and convener of the conference, said, “This conference brings a convergence of communication, education and media schools of different countries. As media convergence is the definition today, so will be the conf, a convergence of thinkers, academicians and industry professionals from different part of the world.”
With education and media at its core, the conference will witness numerous discussions and deliberations about shifts in the fields after technological advancements.
