New Delhi: A recently surfaced video of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri has once again put Pakistan’s deep ties with terror outfits under the spotlight. In the footage, Kashmiri alleged that Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir personally ordered senior officers to participate in the funerals of terrorists neutralised by Indian forces during Operation Sindoor, granting them full military honours.

According to Kashmiri, directives from Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ) instructed corps commanders to attend funeral processions in uniform, march alongside coffins, and deliver the “final salute” to slain terrorists. He further admitted that Maulana Masood Azhar—JeM’s founder—remained the mastermind behind attacks in Delhi and Mumbai, recalling Azhar’s dramatic escape from Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Kashmiri glorified Balakot as the soil that “empowered” Azhar to continue plotting terror missions against India, exposing the sustained collusion between Pakistan-based networks and strikes in India’s major cities.

The video also acknowledged the devastating impact of Operation Sindoor, India’s tri-services retaliation launched on May 7 after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists. The coordinated offensive by the Army, Navy, and Air Force dismantled nine major terror hubs in Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muridke, crippling the infrastructure of JeM, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
