Srinagar: On the occasion of International Women’s Day and in the series of events under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, 172 Battalion of Border Security Forces (BSF) Trehgam, invited talented girls of Kupwara district. Among those invited for the function included Mahreen Jan, Gold medallist in Fifth International Mixed Martial Arts competition held at Visakhapatnam.
Sandas Bashir, topper in 9th Standard, besides other girls’ achiever in academics of Trehgam area. In addition, Saheen Begum, wife of martyr Captain Reyaz Ahmed Sheikh along with retiree’s located nearby Trehgam were invited. All invitees have been felicitated by the Commanding Officer. The talented girl children shared their experiences of how they achieved the respective milestones.
