Srinagar: International Islamic School, Handwara celebrated its Annual Day-2022 on Saturday with great zeal and enthusiasm. Renowned international scholar Dr Reyaz Towheedi was chief guest on the occasion. The program started with the recitation of the Qur’anic verses followed by Naat.
The welcome address cum introductory speech was delivered by chairman and renowned journalist Dr Tarique Raheem, who welcomed all the guests, students and staff. In his speech he highlighted the importance of the annual day function in an educational institution. Dr Tarique Raheem presented a brief profile of the school; and highlighted some major glimpses of the achievements of the students in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities during 2022.
The event was marked by a number of cultural and entertaining programs and speeches by the students.
On this occasion, the best-performing students during the current year were given certificates of appreciation, medals, mementos and trophies for their outstanding performance in curricular and co-curricular activities.
