Russian House Mumbai Hosts Charity Event for Children’s Home

Mumbai – In a heartwarming display of community support, the Russian House in Mumbai, in collaboration with the Coordinating Council of Organisationa of Russian Compatriots in India, organised a charity event to benefit the children at the Observation and Children Home in Umarkhadi, Mumbai. The initiative aimed to provide essential food items and personal goods, improving the daily lives of the children residing there.

During the event, Dr. Victor Gorelykh, Director of the Russian House, and Anna Rogovskaya, a representative of the Russian community in Mumbai, engaged with the home’s superintendent, Mr. Rahul Kanthikar, and interacted with the children. Dr. Gorelykh and Rogovskaya shared stories and insights about Russia, fostering cultural exchange and strengthening the friendship between the two nations.

Beyond addressing the immediate needs of the children through the distribution of essential supplies, this initiative reinforced the spirit of goodwill between India and Russia. The event’s positive impact resonated throughout the community, encouraging generosity and solidarity that transcend borders.
