Mumbai: BJP MLA Nitesh Rane writes to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray regarding the issue of reciting Bhagwat Geeta in BMC schools.

Nitesh Rane calls opposition to this proposal by Samajwadi Party as ‘unfortunate’ The way Indian ‘Yoga’ has been accepted by the world and now they are practising it as there is no barrier of religion in this.

“Same way ‘Bhagwat Geeta has gotten attention on the Global platform as many foreign universities are conducting further studies on this. “one of the universities in the USA, Seton Hall University has a special management program in which they teach Bhagwat Geeta,” said Nitesh Rane.

The entire world is studying Philosophy and teaching of Bhagwat Geeta and corporates are also not an exception to this, because this holy book shows the road to life,” writes Nitesh Rane in his letter to CM.

Further, Nitesh writes, “There is no doubt that recitation of Bhagwat Geeta will help kids in the process of developing their personality. But if there is opposition to reciting Geeta, then should ask kids to recite Aurangjeb’s ‘Fatava -e- Allamgiri’, so that in every home, a person like Mukhtar Ansari will be born.”

Nitesh has requested CM not to succumb to the pressure created by a few to oppose the proposal of Bhagwat Geeta Recitation, and accept the notice moved by the BJP corporator.
