Jammu: Continuing the drive against drug abuse launched by District Police Reasi under the supervision of Amit Gupta SSP Reasi, Reasi Police arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered 08 gm’s of heroin from their possession at Katra on Saturday.
During routine checking and frisking Police party of police check post nomain led by Insp Nishant Gupta under the supervision of Amit Bhasin SSP Katra apprehended two drug peddlers with 08 grams of heroin like substances from their possession.
Arrested drug peddlers have been identified as Rahul Verma S/o Deshraj R/O Paroh Tehsil Katra District Reasi and 02) Balbir Kumar S/O Parkash Chand R/O Parah Tehsil Katra District Reasi.,
In this a case FIR No 344/2022 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Acts stand registered at the Police Station Katra and investigation initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages.
While sharing the details Sr Superintendent of Police Reasi Amit Bhasin assured that the Reasi police is committed to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and illicit liquor smuggling from the area and people from all sections of the society should come forward and join hands with Police to strengthen anti-narcotics drive of District Police which is must to save our future generations.
