Mumbai: Television and film actor Haresh Sharma is drawing attention for his performance in the Colors TV series Mannat – Har Khushi Paane Ki, where he plays the complex character of Virendra.
In the show, Sharma portrays a deceptive “fake father” figure, adding psychological depth and suspense to the storyline. His character has emerged as a key element in the narrative, contributing to the show’s dramatic tension.
Sharma has built a diverse portfolio across television, regional cinema, and theatre. He is known for appearances in crime-based shows such as Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India, where he frequently portrayed investigative roles. His past television work includes roles in Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, Wagle Ki Duniya, and Pavitra Rishta.
He has also taken on characters with varied emotional arcs. In Sapno Ki Chhalang, Sharma played a layered role that transitioned from a supportive family figure to a conflicted antagonist. In Mehndi Wala Ghar, his character underwent a transformation from a negative presence to a reconciliatory figure within the family.
Apart from acting, Sharma has directed short films and is associated with production work through his banner, KriJyo Entertainment.
Originally from Ulhasnagar in Maharashtra, Sharma has been active in the entertainment industry for over a decade and has also worked in Sindhi cinema, featuring in multiple regional films.
Speaking about evolving industry demands, Sharma said actors today are expected to move beyond conventional performance and contribute creatively to their roles, emphasising the need for preparation and character understanding.
