Kupwara: In a powerful show of solidarity, the Civil Society Forum Handwara organized a candlelight protest at the Historic Main Chowk Handwara to denounce the barbaric twin bomb blasts in Delhi. Members of various social, trade, and community organizations participated in the peaceful demonstration, expressing deep sorrow and outrage over the tragic incident.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Zargar, a prominent social activist, strongly condemned the attacks, calling them “an assault on humanity, peace, and the very fabric of our collective conscience.”

These cowardly acts of terror have no place in any civilized society,” Zargar said. “My heart goes out to the innocent victims and their families who have suffered unimaginable loss. The perpetrators and those who support such bloodshed must face the harshest punishment under the law

He further urged the nation to remain united in the face of such adversity, adding, “We cannot allow fear to divide us; instead, we must stand together to defeat hatred and extremism in all its forms. India has always shown resilience, and today we must reaffirm our commitment to justice, compassion, and peace.”

The protest concluded peacefully, with participants lighting candles in memory of the victims and pledging to promote harmony and unity across the country.
