Mumbai: Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde visited Gadchiroli district on Sunday to take stock of the situation in the flooded affected district. He also directed the administration to immediately start the process of providing necessary assistance to the citizens by inspecting immediately after the floods receded.
Shinde visited the flood victims in Kaneri and Pardi areas before chairing the review meeting and inspection of the situation. He also visited the school which was made as temporary shelter at Pardi and inquired about the facilities provided with the flood victims.

District Collector Deepak Singla, Superintendent of Police, Shailesh Balakwade, Chief Executive Officer, Kumar Ashirwad, Pardi village Sarpanch Sanjay Nikhare and other officials were present on the spot.
During the flood situation, Eknath Shinde interacted with the local villagers.
“Currently, the situation will remain the same for another 24 to 48 hours, so it is important to move the citizens to a safe place and provide them with essential items,” he said.
Already floods have caused much loss to the homes, farms, and livestock as well as in other ways. He directed the authorities to start a survey immediately after the floods recede and provide necessary help. Along with the corona, the villagers are facing a backlash due to floods. The administration is managing the situation very well and overcoming the challenges. Therefore, the Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde has appealed to the citizens to follow the instructions of the administration and cooperate to solve these problems.
