Delhi: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Saturday launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of facilitating illegal immigration from Bangladesh for political gains. Singh claimed that while Hindus face persecution in Bangladesh, Banerjee is allegedly giving employment and shelter to Bangladeshi infiltrators in Bengal.
Speaking to the media, Singh said, “Mamata Banerjee wants to transform Bengal into Bangladesh for politics. On one hand, Hindus are being persecuted in Bangladesh; on the other hand, she is giving employment to Bangladeshi infiltrators. This should be investigated… She wants to be the CM of Bangladeshis.”
The Union Minister argued that such actions threaten national security and alter the demographic fabric of the state. He further accused the Trinamool Congress of putting political interests above citizens’ welfare and warned that the Centre would closely monitor the situation.
