Prayagraj: As the grand Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025 concludes on Mahashivratri (February 26) after witnessing an unprecedented footfall of over 65 crore devotees, the spiritual journey doesn’t end here. Over the next five years, all four sacred Kumbh sites—Haridwar, Nashik, Ujjain, and Prayagraj—will host their respective Kumbh Melas, drawing millions of pilgrims from across the world.
Upcoming Kumbh Melas: Full Schedule
Haridwar Ardh Kumbh 2027 – The holy city of Haridwar will host the Ardh Kumbh Mela in 2027, six years after the last Ardh Kumbh in 2021. Uttarakhand government has already begun preparations, with officials discussing traffic, security, and infrastructure plans.
Nashik Kumbh 2027 – The Kumbh Mela in Nashik will return after 12 years, starting July 17, 2027, and concluding August 17, 2027, at Trimbakeshwar on the banks of the Godavari River. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has promised a technologically advanced Kumbh to enhance the pilgrimage experience.
Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh 2028 – Ujjain will host the Simhastha Kumbh in 2028 along the Shipra River, a sacred gathering that occurs once every 12 years. CM Mohan Yadav has already initiated plans for a 3,300-hectare spiritual city to accommodate millions of devotees.
Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh 2030 – Known as the king of pilgrimage sites, Prayagraj will host the Ardh Kumbh Mela in 2030, following the grand Mahakumbh of 2025. The event will follow ancient celestial alignments, bringing together spiritual seekers from around the world.
