The search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has attracted an overwhelming response, with more than 1,000 applications received from across the country within a short period of the recruitment process beginning.
According to reports, a large number of applicants are retired bureaucrats and former senior government officials. Ex-IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has also confirmed that he has applied for the post.
The trust has formed a three-member selection committee to oversee the recruitment. Applications will be accepted until July 18, after which the panel will begin screening candidates before conducting interviews. Owing to the large number of applications, the committee is also expected to appoint a secretary to assist in verifying eligibility and processing applications.
Candidates applying for the post must be between 50 and 70 years of age, possess at least 20 years of administrative experience, be willing to reside in Ayodhya, and demonstrate proficiency in both Hindi and English. The selection committee is expected to review the applications on July 19, while an update on the recruitment process may be presented at the trust’s meeting scheduled for July 22.
