The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made startling claims against incarcerated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that he is intentionally consuming high-sugar foods to increase his blood sugar levels while in jail.
According to a report by Bar and Bench, the ED asserts that Kejriwal has been indulging in mangoes, sweets, and adding sugar to his tea to raise his blood sugar levels deliberately.
This accusation gains further traction as an individual identified as Mr. Sinha, posting under the handle “X,” echoed similar sentiments. Mr. Sinha accused Kejriwal of pressuring jail authorities to provide him with high-sugar, high-glycemic index drinks and food, alleging that Kejriwal is strategically using this tactic to obtain bail.
The controversy arises amidst Kejriwal’s incarceration since March 21 in Tihar’s Jail No-2, following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an alleged excise scam.
Kejriwal’s alleged manipulation of his dietary intake to influence his health condition has raised eyebrows and sparked debates about the ethics and legality of such actions. Critics argue that if proven true, Kejriwal’s actions could be perceived as an attempt to exploit his health for favorable legal outcomes.
As the allegations continue to swirl, it remains to be seen how authorities will respond and whether Kejriwal will face any repercussions for his alleged conduct while in custody.
