In a strategic move, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has assigned specific Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to its allies, following the recent allocation of nine seats to the Congress party.
The DMK, a prominent player in Tamil Nadu politics, disclosed the constituencies entrusted to its key ally, ensuring a coordinated approach for the upcoming elections. Among the notable designations, the Tiruchirappalli constituency has been designated to the Vaiko-led Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), currently represented by the Congress party’s Su Thirunavukkarasar.

Polling for all 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu is scheduled for April 19, with the counting of votes slated for June 4, as announced by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.
