In a swift rebuttal to Raaj Kumar Anand’s resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Saurabh Bharadwaj, an AAP leader and Delhi minister, asserted that Anand’s departure stemmed from fear, contrasting his decision with the steadfastness of other party members like Sanjay Singh. Bharadwaj’s remarks came during a press conference convened shortly after Anand’s announcement of his resignation, citing corruption within AAP.
“This proves that breaking the Aam Aadmi Party is the target of the BJP. Raaj Kumar Anand was raided by the ED and all BJP leaders called him corrupt. Now it is for the world to see whether Raaj Kumar Anand is welcomed to the BJP with a garland,” remarked Sanjay Singh, who also addressed the press conference, echoing Bharadwaj’s sentiments.
The press conference underscored AAP’s stance on Anand’s resignation, framing it within the context of alleged BJP interference and attempts to undermine the party’s integrity. Singh highlighted the BJP’s purported campaign to discredit AAP members, citing Anand’s legal troubles as evidence of targeted attacks aimed at tarnishing the party’s reputation.
“When we said the BJP was trying to break the AAP, we were accused of lying. Now it’s clear?” questioned Singh, emphasizing AAP’s longstanding assertions regarding BJP’s alleged machinations against the party.
