New Delhi: The voting process for the highly anticipated Delhi Assembly Election 2025 concluded on Wednesday, with a recorded voter turnout of 57.70% by 5 PM, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Polling began at 7:00 AM across all 70 constituencies and continued until 6 PM, with tight security arrangements to ensure a smooth and fair election. The electoral battle witnessed 699 candidates vying for a place in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, with key contests across various high-profile seats.

A total of 13,766 polling stations were set up across the national capital, with authorities implementing enhanced security measures and strict vigilance to prevent any irregularities.

The final voter turnout is expected to be updated by the Election Commission after compiling data from all polling booths. The results of the election will be announced on the designated counting day, which will determine the next government in Delhi.

In the by-polls, Uttar Pradesh’s Milkipur constituency recorded a 57.13% turnout, while Tamil Nadu’s Erode (East) constituency saw 53.63% voting as of 3 PM.

Polling for Delhi’s 70 Assembly seats and by-polls in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh began at 7 AM and will continue till 6 PM under tight security.
