Imam Din chaired a Janta darbar at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Ramhal in which officers, PRIs and a large number of people participated. On the occasion, the DDC was apprised about the developmental issues including erratic power supply, damaged transformers in several villages, maintenance of inner roads, and issuance of Ration Cards to new households and completion of tehsil office building.

While addressing the Janta darbar, the DDC said that the objective of today’s visit was to inspect the offices for resolution of public grievances. He added that the primary focus of the government is to make the health and education system vibrant which are the basic contributors in building a sustainable nation. He said that the district has a registered load of 80 MW power supply but the peak demand goes beyond 220 MW which gives a difficult time to the Power department to mitigate the issue. The Deputy Commissioner urged the people for judicious use of electricity to ensure its smooth supply.

The DDC heard the grievances of the public patiently and issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers for their timely resolution. Earlier, the DDC paid a surprise visit to several government offices including the Block Development Officer (BDO) office Trehgam, Public Works R&B department, Agriculture and Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) Office. He inspected the attendance of the staff working in these offices and directed the concerned officers for time-bound resolution of genuine public grievances.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the Kralpora bridge where three people lost their lives recently in a tragic car accident and directed for immediate installation of safety walls around the bridge.
