Delhi: Delhi Congress has intensified its attack on the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ahead of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections by releasing a booklet titled ‘Mauka Mauka Har Baar Dhokha’. The publication outlines what the party claims are the failures and misgovernance of Arvind Kejriwal’s 11-year government in Delhi and the BJP’s decade-long tenure at the Centre.
Unveiling the booklet, Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav was joined by senior leader Ajay Maken and other party members at a press conference. Yadav said, “Today, we are releasing a booklet on the wrong deeds of the 11 years of Arvind Kejriwal’s government and 10 years of BJP’s government. Both parties have betrayed the trust of Delhi’s citizens.”
Yadav criticized both the AAP and BJP for failing to deliver on their promises. He claimed that despite holding power for over a decade, the parties have left Delhi’s residents disillusioned. “The citizens of Delhi elected both parties in hope, but after 11 years, they feel let down,” Yadav said.
Highlighting the achievements of the Congress during Sheila Dikshit’s 15-year tenure as Chief Minister, Yadav stated, “Significant advancements were made in development, pollution control, women’s rights, pensions for the elderly, and providing essential resources like ration cards and gas cylinders. Those 15 years laid a strong foundation for making Delhi a world-class city.”
The booklet’s release comes in the wake of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal ruling out any alliance with the Congress for the 2024 general elections. The Congress hopes to leverage the discontent against both ruling parties to rebuild its support base in the capital.
The move is seen as an effort by Congress to reassert its presence in Delhi politics, where it has struggled to regain relevance since AAP’s rise to power in 2013.
