34-year-old Muniraj Meena, a resident of Rithouli village, is now making waves in Haryanvi cinema. His latest film, “Sapna Ek Udaan,” was released on December 16, 2024, on Sonotek YouTube. In this film, Muniraj plays the lead villain role. His performance has won the hearts of audiences, who have praised his acting, expressing their desire to see him in more films.

Passion for Acting Since Childhood

Muniraj spent his childhood in his village with his family, nurturing a passion for acting and dance from an early age. His love for films ignited when his father brought home a black-and-white TV, and the first movie he watched was Govinda’s “Raja Babu.” From that moment, he dreamed of becoming an actor. Muniraj enjoyed dancing at weddings, school events, and college functions.

As he grew older, he aspired to go to Mumbai but lacked the means. One day, he read a newspaper article about Roshan Taneja’s Shaktimaan Institute in Jaipur. In 2011, Muniraj enrolled in an acting course there. Financial constraints posed a challenge, but his brother, Goliram, supported him. The acting school was run by Mukesh Khanna.

Muniraj completed his graduation (B.A.) and an ITI in electrical work (2010). Mukesh Khanna guided him towards Mumbai, and with courage, Muniraj set off to pursue his dream.

Struggles and Breakthroughs

Muniraj faced significant struggles in Mumbai, attending numerous auditions before landing his first role in “Nancy,” a serial on DD National in 2012. He then appeared in several TV shows and series, including:
• “Na Hausla Karenge Hum”
• “Yam Hai Hum”
• “Crime Patrol”
• “Hamare Hero Shaktimaan”
• “Ravi aur Ravinder”
• “Mautana” (web series)
• “Sanki” (short film)

While in Mumbai, Muniraj also learned video editing to support himself financially. Over time, he gained experience, honed his skills, and observed the film industry closely.

In 2018, he returned to his village and set up his own studio, starting to create videos locally. His breakthrough in regional cinema came with the Rajasthani film “Mautana,” where his performance was widely appreciated. This led to him being cast as the lead villain in the Haryanvi film “Sapna Ek Udaan,” which has now been released on YouTube.

Family Background and Support

Muniraj’s father, Chhotelal, was an artist and truck driver, who passed away in 2011. Since then, his mother, Kanchanbai, has taken care of the family through farming. Among his five brothers, two elder brothers – Prem Singh (truck driver) and Goliram (farmer) – are married. Muniraj also has two younger brothers who are still studying. His two elder sisters are married.

Muniraj comes from a family of courageous individuals. His uncle was a media personality and organized traditional wrestling events, while his grandfather, Shyamlal, was known for his extraordinary feats of strength and bravery, such as lifting large stones, jumping over camels, and drawing water from deep wells single-handedly.

Muniraj Meena’s journey from a village boy with a dream to a rising star in regional cinema is an inspiring story of passion, perseverance, and family support.
