Mumbai: In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis convened an emergency meeting at his official residence, ‘Varsha’, in Mumbai, to discuss and review security measures across the state. The meeting was attended by senior officials including Director General of Police (DGP), top representatives from the Home Department, and other key officers from various government agencies.

The heightened security concerns, stemming from recent cross-border attacks between India and Pakistan, prompted the urgent review. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present at the meeting, emphasizing the need for strong coordination between various departments to safeguard the state from any potential security threats.
