A live television debate in Telangana took a dramatic and chaotic turn as sitting BRS MLA and Quthbullapur AC candidate KP Vivekananda Goud physically attacked former MLA and BJP candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud. The shocking incident unfolded on a widely-watched political talk show, leaving viewers stunned.

The tension between the two political rivals reached a boiling point during the debate, exacerbated by incendiary remarks exchanged between them. KP Vivekananda Goud, visibly agitated, lost his temper and physically confronted Kuna Srisailam Goud, shoving him in a heated moment. The altercation took an even more alarming turn when KP Vivekananda Goud briefly grasped Kuna Srisailam Goud’s throat with his hand. The incident escalated rapidly, causing chaos in the studio.

The show’s host and law enforcement officials present on the set quickly intervened to de-escalate the situation and separate the feuding candidates, preventing further violence.

K Pandu Vivekanand Goud, a prominent Indian politician, initially aligned with the TDP but later switched to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). He currently serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Quthbullapur constituency in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district of Telangana. Vivekanand Goud has a history of electoral victories in the region. He emerged triumphant in the 2014 state assembly elections by defeating K Hanmanth Reddy of BRS with a substantial lead of 39,024 votes. Furthermore, during the 2018 general elections, he once again secured a significant victory, amassing over 40,000 votes more than the Congress candidate, Kuna Srisailam Goud.

Prior to this shocking incident, KP Vivekanand Goud found himself embroiled in controversy when his relative, KP Vishal Goud, and a mob led by him were allegedly involved in a violent assault on a courier delivery boy. The delivery boy, hailing from Maharashtra, reportedly suffered severe injuries after being attacked by a mob led by Goud for his inability to speak the Telugu language. The incident drew widespread condemnation and raised concerns about linguistic and regional tensions in the state.
