Mumbai: After a lot of political drama in the death probe of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput on Thursday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a case against the actor Rhea Chakraborty and five others.
The CBI took up the matter after the consent by the Bihar government to probe the death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. KK Singh, father of Rajput has filed an FIR against Rhea and her family members with Bihar Police. The same complaint was transferred to the CBI after the Central government recommended the case to the agency.
According to the Bihar Police On July 25, the late actor Sushant’s father, Singh has registered a case in Rajiv Nagar under various Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 341 (wrongful restrains ), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement) , 380 (theft) , 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 306 (abetment of suicide), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy ).
Singh has alleged in his FIR that Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her family members had misused the closeness with the actor. The deceased Sushant’s live-in partner had forcibly stopped his son from attending phone calls. Not limited to just misusing the closeness she had allegedly transferred huge sums of about Rs.15 crore to some unknown accounts and confined him in such a way that he was totally in depression.
The sources from the CBI said that the elite special investigation team which has probed the cases of AgustaWestland chopper deal and fugitive business tycoon Vijay Mallya has been assigned the case.
