New Delhi: In a swift and decisive retaliatory action, the Border Security Force (BSF) confirmed that it had successfully destroyed a terrorist launch pad in Pakistan’s Sialkot district after unprovoked firing by Pakistan Rangers late on Friday night.

The ceasefire violation began around 9 pm, with Pakistan Rangers firing across the International Border into Jammu’s Akhnoor sector. In response, the BSF launched a targeted strike, destroying the launch pad at Looni, located just across the border from the Indian territory.

“The terrorist launch pad at Looni was completely destroyed,” the BSF said in a statement issued on Saturday, underscoring the force’s unwavering commitment to neutralising cross-border threats and maintaining the security of India’s borders.

This retaliatory move by the BSF is seen as a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions along the International Boundary, as the situation continues to intensify. The Indian forces remain on high alert, ensuring robust defensive measures to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty amidst the heightened hostilities.

The BSF has been actively engaged in securing the borders, preventing infiltration attempts, and maintaining vigilance to safeguard civilian lives in sensitive border areas. The attack on the terrorist launch pad serves as a clear message to Pakistan about India’s readiness to respond to any provocative actions.
