Police says prima facie, the blast looks like happened due to some equipment failure

Srinagar: A blast took place in a vehicle on Boulevard Road area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.
A senior police officer informed that a blast took place in the rear of a Honda city vehicle numbered JK01M 0878 on the Boulevard Road. An elderly couple (Hafizullah Bhat) residents of Kralsangri, Nishat were in the vehicle.
The officer further said that both are safe and sound. Prima facie the blast appears to have been caused by some equipment failure. The police team is at the spot and investigating the crime scene.
