New Delhi: Delhi Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma took a sharp dig at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, predicting that his visit to Punjab was a desperate move to secure his political future after AAP’s defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections.

“As I said during the election campaign, after losing in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal would run to Punjab. Now that AAP has a government there, he wants to safeguard it. Will he become a Rajya Sabha MP or Punjab CM? Let’s see in the coming days,” Verma remarked.

BJP spokesperson RP Singh also slammed the Punjab government for treating Kejriwal as a VIP, despite him holding no official position. “He is neither an MLA nor a CM, but the Punjab government still provides him security. Like Delhi, Punjab will also reject him in the coming days,” Singh stated.

Adding to the attack, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa accused Kejriwal of misusing public funds, questioning the lavish security arrangements during his visit to Punjab.
