Ayush department Handwara in collaboration with 162 Battalion CRPF organised medical camp at Handwara

Srinagar: Acting on the instructions of Director AYUSH and District AYUSH officer, Dr Farooq Iqbal, an awareness camp was organised by AYUSH unit Handwara in collaboration with 162 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Herpora, Handwara for observing World Tuberculosis (TB) day. 

In this camp, Dr Shahi Jahan Wani addressed people to raise public awareness and understanding about one of the world’s deadliest infectious killers – TB and its devastating health, social and economic impact on people around the world. People were also informed about how the risk of infection can be reduced by using a few simple precautions. 

In this medical camp almost 250 patients including children, men and women took the benefit of this medical camp. They were also made aware of the herbal medicines and their benefits. Also, complementary medicines along with immuno boosters were distributed among the people. 

In this camp, Dr Mohammad Ismail, Dr Shahi Jahan Wani, Dr Syed Ubaid, Dr Ayoub Marazi, Dr Seema Bashir, Dr Ibraheem, Dr Iqra, Dr Shaista and senior pharmacist, Farooq Ahmad also participated.

Talking to the media, Commanding Officer of the 162 CRPF battalion Vinod Kumar said these types of medical camps are needed for poor peoples and will organise such kinds of medical camps at Handwara.

At the end Dr Shahi Jahan Wani said that we are giving free medicines to patients and almost anaemic patients were seen in this camp.
