The film, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, was originally released nine years ago and had a disappointing run, collecting just ₹9.11 crore. However, its re-release on February 7 has turned the tables, with the movie earning an impressive ₹28 crore in just eight days.
The buzz surrounding the film’s renewed success reached Amitabh Bachchan, who took to Instagram to extend his best wishes. Sharing a poster of the film, Big B wrote, “All good wishes for this re-release.”
Harshvardhan Rane was quick to react, sharing Bachchan’s post on his Instagram story and writing, “Bachchan Saab. First God noticed and now sir you noticed.” His heartfelt response highlights how much the acknowledgment means to him and the team behind the film.
Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru and produced by Deepak Mukut, Sanam Teri Kasam has found a new lease on life, thanks to its devoted fanbase. Harshvardhan, along with his fans, had personally requested producer Deepak Mukut to bring the film back to cinemas—a move that has now paid off spectacularly.
