In a recent turn of events, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has expressed disapproval of his son, Parth Pawar, meeting with a history-sheeter, Gajanan Marne, whose photographs have gone viral on social media. Pawar acknowledged the incident as a mistake, emphasizing that it should have been avoided.
Addressing the situation, Ajit Pawar assured that he would gather all the details regarding the meeting, mentioning that party workers might have taken his son there. He stated, “After the incident, I categorically told the police such elements should not come near him. It can happen to any political leader.”
Acknowledging the wrongdoing, the senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader mentioned, “What happened was wrong. I am gathering all the details. It seems party workers took Parth there. It should not have happened. I will speak to him.” Ajit Pawar affirmed that a history-sheeter was once admitted into the party but was promptly removed once his past came to light.
Photographs capturing the meeting between Parth Pawar and Gajanan Marne, alongside several NCP workers, have circulated widely on social media, prompting concerns and questions about the nature of the association.
Responding to queries about MLA Rohit Pawar, from the Sharad Pawar faction of the NCP, being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar asserted that it was the responsibility of probe agencies to summon individuals for inquiry. He stressed that it was the duty of the people involved to provide truthful answers during such investigations.
