Aamir War asks administration to make Covid-19 test mandatory for those engaged in supply of essential commodities

Srinagar: With rapid increase in Covid -19 cases, Aamir War, BJYM District General Secretary Baramulla Sunday asked the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) administration to make Covid-19 test mandatory for people dealing with distribution of essential goods.

Aamir War said that there apprehensions that they might spread virus in the community as they roam freely and come in direct contact with the people. The local administration has deployed its staff for distribution of essential goods to the people at their doorsteps.

‌”It is good that government has decided to provide essential items to the people at their doorsteps. The people selling goods like milk, bread, meat and other essential items should be first tested and then allowed to start their work,” he said.

“The Delhi government has already started the process. I hope that the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) administration will also start the process in order to contain Covid-19,” he added.
