Handwara Police organize debate on police and nation building to pay homage to police martyrs

Srinagar: As a mark of honour and as a part of ongoing Police Flag Day to commemorate the sacrifices of police martyrs a debate on “Role of Police in Nation Building” was organized by Handwara Police at GDC Handwara with active cooperation from Principal GDC Handwara Professor G. N Pala and other faculty members of college.

The debate saw active participation of students from GDC Handwara, who explained and discussed the topic ‘Role of Police in Nation building’.

The event was hosted by Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR Handwara Abdul Raqeeb Malik (JKPS) under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Handwara, Sandeep Gupta (IPS).

The event was organized to pay homage to the police martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and simultaneously channelizing the talent of youth.

In the Inaugural speech of the said program, Principal GDC Handwara Professor G N Pala highlighted the role of Police in society vis -a- vis nation building, students from various streams also highlighted the role of police in nation building.

Superintendent Of Police Handwara, Sandeep Gupta (IPS) highlighted role of police and responsibilities of youth in nation building and also paid rich tributes to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the peace and prosperity of the nation and the also thanked Principal GDC Handwara and other staff members for their cooperation and participation in honouring the police martyrs. 

Handwara police congratulated the winners and distributed prizes and trophies among the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders from both boys and girls and participation certificates were also distributed at the conclusion of the event.
