Srinagar: On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day 2021, District Police Kupwara organised a debate competition at Middle School Bumhama on the topic “Role of Police in Nation Building”.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, Yougal Manhas highlighted the contribution of Police martyrs in general and sacrifice of martyr Abdul Rashid Khan of the area in particular who laid their lives in the service of nation.
As a mark of gratitude, a photograph of martyr was also pasted in the office chambers of the school. In the debate competition, around 100 students of different schools participated who presented their views on the topic. The participants were awarded prizes on the occasion by the chief guest.
Other officers from the district present during the occasion included Assistant Superintendent of Police, Kupwara, Pardeep Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police, DAR Kupwara, Sarfaraz Bashir.
