AGS Wayne Students Excel in Swachh Bharat Painting Contest, Earn Top Honours in Kupwara

Students of Army Goodwill School (AGS), Wayne delivered an impressive performance at a painting competition organised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, securing recognition for their artistic talent and bringing laurels to their school.

The event was organised by the 4th Battalion of the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) at Wayne in Kupwara to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The competition attracted enthusiastic participation from students representing several schools across the region.

17 AGS Students Display Artistic Talent

A total of 17 students, including boys and girls from AGS Wayne, participated in the competition, presenting artwork centred on themes of cleanliness, civic responsibility and national unity. Their creativity and enthusiasm drew appreciation from organisers and attendees alike.

Among the participants, Fazil Shabeer and Uzair Tanveer emerged as standout performers and were honoured for their exceptional paintings. Every participating student also received an appreciation certificate in recognition of their effort and contribution.

Promoting Awareness Through Art

The initiative aimed to encourage young students, particularly those from border areas, to understand the importance of cleanliness, environmental responsibility and nation-building through creative expression.

Organisers highlighted that such competitions provide an effective platform for students to communicate social messages while developing confidence and artistic skills.

Students Visit Roshan Mustakbil Centre

As part of the programme, the participating students visited Roshan Mustakbil at Zangli Garrison, Kupwara, where they were introduced to career guidance, educational opportunities and skill development initiatives designed for youth from border districts.

During the interaction, students explored various programmes aimed at enhancing career prospects and engaged with organisers to learn more about higher education and professional development opportunities.

School Applauds Students’ Achievement

The school administration congratulated all participants for representing the institution with distinction. It noted that activities combining education, creativity and social awareness help students develop leadership qualities, confidence and a stronger sense of civic responsibility while inspiring them to contribute positively to society.
