A Patna court on Tuesday provided temporary relief to popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir by directing that no arrest be made against him for the time being in connection with an ongoing firing and vandalism investigation linked to his coaching institute.
The order came during proceedings related to Khan Sir’s anticipatory bail request. While the court permitted investigators to continue questioning him and carrying out the probe, it stated that no coercive action should be taken until further orders.
The controversy stems from a violent incident reported outside a coaching centre in Patna earlier this month. Following the episode, police registered a case and launched an investigation into allegations of vandalism and gunfire connected to the premises.
According to investigators, the inquiry gained momentum after videos of the incident surfaced online and circulated widely on social media platforms. Authorities subsequently named multiple individuals in the case, including Khan Sir, while examining the circumstances surrounding the violence.
Police officials have already taken two security personnel associated with the coaching institute into custody. The guards are currently lodged in judicial custody as investigators continue to examine their role in the incident.
During the hearing, the court reviewed submissions related to the ongoing investigation and had earlier sought details of evidence collected by the police. Legal representatives for Khan Sir argued that he should be protected from arrest while the inquiry proceeds.
The court is also considering legal pleas filed by other individuals linked to the case, with decisions expected after further examination of the investigation records.
The incident reportedly occurred after a group of people allegedly damaged promotional materials and created unrest near the coaching institute premises. The situation later escalated into violence, prompting police intervention and a wider criminal investigation.
Khan Sir has consistently denied any involvement in the incident and has maintained that he has no connection with the alleged acts being investigated by the authorities.
