Central Railway, Western Railway Enter Semi-Finals of RBI Professional Kho-Kho Tournament

Mumbai: Western Railway, Maharashtra Post, Central Railway and Rachna Notary Works advanced to the semi-finals of the inaugural Professional Invitational Kho-Kho Tournament 2026 organised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Sports Club under the aegis of the Mumbai Kho-Kho Association.

The semi-final line-up will see Western Railway take on Maharashtra Post, while Central Railway will clash with Rachna Notary Works.

Western Railway edged past Bank of India 11-9 in a closely fought encounter. Nikhil Sodiye starred with strong defensive performances of 2.30 and unbeaten 2.30 minutes along with two points. Aditya Ganpule, Vrishabh Wagh, Mahesh Shinde and Abhay Ratnakar also made key contributions.

For Bank of India, Raj Sakpal, Sudarshan Chavan, Arpit Tiwari and Mayuresh More fought hard but could not prevent defeat.

Central Railway produced a dominant display to thrash MahaVitaran 19-12 after leading 10-6 at half-time.

Arnav Patankar, Shubham Thorat, Vijay Hazare, Milind Chavrekar, Saurabh Ghadge and Ganesh Borkar played decisive roles in Central Railway’s convincing victory. MahaVitaran’s Chetan Bade, Samyak Jadhav, Varun Patil, Soham Lokawale and Aniket Chendwankar put up resistance but fell short.

Rachna Notary Works defeated Mumbai Police 21-18 in a thrilling contest. Prathamesh Durgavale, Hitesh Agre, Sadashiv Palav, Rupesh Kondhalkar and Ganesh Sahu delivered standout performances for the winning side.

Mumbai Police’s Akshay Khapre, Sohail Sheikh, Sohail Kalawant, Vedant Desai, Harish More and Sujit Pawal battled strongly but were unable to stop Rachna Notary Works from sealing victory.

In the most exciting match of the day, Maharashtra Post defeated Naval Dock 16-15 by a single point to secure their semi-final berth.

Akshay Masal, Sunny Tambe, Dheeraj Bhave, Prateek Devare, Pradyumn Patil and Shubham Shinde played crucial roles for Maharashtra Post, while Naval Dock’s Shubham Dogle, Sai Pisal, Sarthak Junghare, Anant Satale, Vaibhav More and Hiten Bhoir impressed despite the narrow defeat.
