New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) by-elections, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed strong optimism about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) performance, calling it crucial for the city’s progress and transformation.

Speaking to reporters, CM Rekha Gupta said the BJP would contest on 12 seats with a focus on development and public welfare. “We will contest on 12 seats while doing work. The condition in which Delhi was all these years, the difficulties it faced — the time has come to resolve all its issues. So, it is essential for the BJP to win these 12 seats,” she stated.

Emphasizing her vision for a cleaner and greener capital, she added, “Our goal is to have a developed and clean Delhi, green Delhi. We want to do this together. Earlier governments only did politics… We want every ward in Delhi to be beautiful and developed.”

Gupta also drew a symbolic comparison between Delhi and Bihar, highlighting the bond between the two regions. “Delhi will develop. Bihar will also go ahead because Delhi and Bihar have a relationship like that of heart and soul,” she remarked.
