Raipur: Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Central government over its comments on ‘ghuspaithiya’ (infiltrators), questioning the BJP-led Centre’s accountability after over a decade in power.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav said the ruling party was effectively indicting itself by raising the issue of infiltrators despite being in power for 11 years. “Who is in power in Delhi for the last 11 years? They are making accusations against their own government,” the SP leader remarked.

He further questioned how the government could continue blaming others for infiltration under its own watch. “If they are talking about infiltrators, it means they are accusing their own government of sending infiltrators for the past 11 years,” Yadav added.

Highlighting the Centre’s role in tackling internal security challenges, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “If Naxalism is ending, it is because of the Central forces.”

Yadav also said he plans to raise the matter in Parliament. “I will raise this question in the Lok Sabha… From where did the infiltrators come for the 11 years, whose government is responsible?” he stated.
