New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled peace initiative aimed at ending the nearly two-year-long conflict in Gaza. The plan, presented alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accepted by Israel, has been described by Modi as a “viable pathway to long-term and sustainable peace.”

The proposal includes a phased withdrawal of Israeli troops, amnesty for Hamas fighters willing to surrender, and a comprehensive reconstruction plan for Gaza, contingent upon the release of hostages. The initiative has also received approval and support from several Islamic nations, signaling broad international backing.

In a lighter note amidst the geopolitical developments, Prime Minister Modi is set to celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja on Ashtami. Reports indicate he may visit the Kali Mandir in Delhi’s CR Park this evening. Modi extended greetings to citizens, hoping the festive season brings happiness, peace, and unity.
