“We Are Going to Come for You”: Rahul Gandhi Warns Election Commission Over Alleged Voter Fraud in Bihar and Karnataka

New Delhi: In a fiery statement outside Parliament, Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a blistering attack on the Election Commission of India (ECI), accusing it of enabling electoral fraud during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls, especially in Bihar and Karnataka. Gandhi warned the poll body that its officials would be held accountable, stating, “We are going to come for you.”

Calling the ECI’s latest statement on the controversy “complete nonsense,” Gandhi expressed outrage over alleged large-scale voter manipulation, claiming that in at least one constituency in Karnataka, his party had uncovered 100 per cent proof of irregularities. “New voters aged 45, 50, and 60 were mysteriously added. Voters were deleted without explanation. This is not a glitch — this is intentional,” he said.

Asked whether the Congress might consider boycotting the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections if the alleged issues aren’t addressed, Gandhi replied, “We are evaluating all options. If the Election Commission is no longer neutral, then this is not an election — it’s a selection.”

Gandhi’s strong words come amid rising political tension over the SIR process in Bihar, where opposition parties have alleged deletion of lakhs of legitimate voters and questioned the transparency of the revision exercise.

In a swift counterattack, BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya accused Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of pre-emptively conceding defeat. “Tejashwi’s talk of election boycott is an admission that Bihar voters have rejected his campaign against SIR,” Malviya said in a post on social media platform X.
