Srinagar: Responding to increasing complaints about erratic power supply, Lolab MLA, Qayser Jamshaid Lone conducted a surprise visit to the Khumriyal receiving station on Thursday. This unannounced inspection was aimed at directly addressing the grievances of residents in areas of Putushai, Kanthpora, Dooniwari, Surigam, Khodi, Wavoora, Gagal, and neighbouring villages.
During the visit, MLA Lone thoroughly reviewed the operational setup of the station and interacted with the staff to pinpoint the root causes of the recurring power disruptions. Concerned over the inconvenience caused to the public, he stressed the urgent need for immediate corrective measures.
In his directives to the staff, Lone underscored the importance of adhering to the official power supply schedule to alleviate the hardships faced by residents. He also called on the concerned authorities to expedite maintenance and modernization of the infrastructure to ensure long-term solutions.
Acknowledging the vital role of reliable electricity in daily life, MLA Lone reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing public welfare. “The people of Lolab deserve uninterrupted power supply, and it’s our duty to deliver on this essential service,” he stated.
The visit reflects Lone’s proactive approach to governance, emphasizing accountability and swift resolution of public grievances.
