Srinagar: Colonel Rajender Singh Chauhan, Sena Medal, posthumous was remembered on Wednesday for his gallant act in combating terrorists in Handwara area of Jammu and Kashmir on August 21, 2000.

This day, the “Triple Centurions” remember IC-35159K Col R S Chauhan, Sena Medal (Posthumous) 21 RR (GUARDS), made the supreme sacrifice while displaying conspicuous gallantry in the highest traditions of the Indian Army while combating terrorists on August 21, 2000 in Handwara, Jammu & Kashmir. An epitome of fearlessness, his supreme sacrifice inspires the “Triple Centurions” to uphold the values of valour and sacrifice in the service of the nation.

Col Rajiv Kumar, Commanding Officer, and all Ranks of 21 Rashtriya Rifles (GUARDS) were present at the remembrance ceremony.
