In a spirited rally on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis questioned the achievements of Uddhav Thackeray during his tenure in the Municipal Corporation over the past 25 years. Speaking at the inauguration of Piyush Goyal’s election office in the North Mumbai constituency, Fadnavis highlighted the transformative initiatives undertaken by the Modi government in Mumbai over the last decade.

Fadnavis emphasized the significant strides made by the Modi government in enhancing the lives of Mumbai’s residents through various development projects. He underscored the upcoming elections as crucial for advancing the common man’s welfare, urging voters to entrust the Modi government for furthering the nation’s progress over the next five years.

Drawing a parallel between the Mahayuti alliance and an inclusive railway catering to the needs of all sections of society, Fadnavis challenged voters to opt for the path of comprehensive development embodied by Mahayuti, rather than boarding the directionless train of the opposition.

Piyush Goyal, the Mahayuti candidate for North Mumbai, reiterated his commitment to fulfill the resolution of making North Mumbai a Better Mumbai, promising sincere efforts toward the constituency’s progress under the Modi government’s leadership.

Adding to the fervor, BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar mocked the Thackeray-led group, suggesting their retreat from the area due to the overwhelming influence of the ‘Modi hai to Mumkin hai’ mantra resonating across North Mumbai’s lanes. Shelar expressed confidence in Goyal’s victory, predicting a record margin of 5 lakh votes and the Mahayuti’s sweeping success in all six Mumbai seats.

The event witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, including Mumbai suburban guardian minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, BJP Mumbai President Adv. MLA Ashish Shelar, MP Gopal Shetty, former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Padma Bhushan Ram Naik, and several other esteemed leaders from various political parties.

As the electoral fervor intensifies, such rallies and campaign events are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the electoral landscape, setting the stage for a fiercely contested battle for Mumbai’s representation in the Lok Sabha.
