The victim has been identified as Sahil Bashir, the son of Bashir Ahmad Dar and a resident of Watrigam Dialgam. Sahil, who is a student at Wanihama, sustained a gunshot wound during the incident.

According to a senior police official, suspected militants opened fire on Sahil Bashir in the Watrigam Wanihama area. The assailants fled the scene after the attack. Local authorities and residents quickly responded to the situation and rushed Sahil to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. He was reported to have suffered a bullet injury to his neck.
