Srinagar: Junaid Ahmed son of Havildar Farooq Ahmed from Kalaroos, Kupwara is brimming with pride, full of zeal and is all set to join Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya to undergo training and serve in Indian Army as an Officer Cadet.
Junaid is the eldest among his three siblings and did his basic schooling from Government School, Kalaroos and Higher Secondary from Army Public School, Srinagar.
His childhood dream to join the armed forces was inspired by his father, who also serves in the Indian Army. Giving wings to his dream, seeing his commitment, zeal and hard work, the officers of Indian Army from Kalaroos motivated, supported and guided him fullest to make his dream come true.
Commanding Officer, 41 Rashtriya Rifles also congratulated and felicitated him for his hard work and achievement and wished him best for all his future endeavours and a bright successful career. Junaid hailing from a remote part of Kashmir and achieving his dream has made him a role model among the youths of Kupwara and an inspiration of the future generations to come.
He urges his fellow youths from Kupwara to study and work hard, keep themselves away from drugs and antisocial activities and focus their time and energy in the right direction and connect themselves to the mainstream to realise the dream of Naya Kashmir in true sense.
